The 1-Bay Airbus A380 Wide Body Aircraft Hangar in the Philippines is the newest Maintenance hangar. Low Level – Low Expansion Foam System and Closed-head Wet type Sprinkler System at the hangar roof was utilized for this new hangar following NFPA 409 “Standard for Aircraft Hangars”.
Many considerations were built into the system design, installation and testing to ensure that the fire protection system would perform satisfactorily. The main objective of the fire protection system attempts to address and overcome the limitations of the existing facility while conforming to the latest changes in the protection of aircraft hangar
The fire protection, fire detection and alarm system passed the extensive test and audit conducted by various agencies both local and international including various airline representatives
The project started on May 2011 and was successfully completed and turned over to the client on April 2012.
